The 411 on 515.

Where can I donate formula?

I saved all of the formula samples that have come in the mail and now have more than 10 8-oz. containers, sealed, never opened.

Any ideas of local charities that might be able to use them?

Found my answer... it's the House of Mercy over by the hospital. If anyone else is getting mailed these samples and can't use them, bring them over... http://www.houseofmercydesmoines.org/

hey,
I am the director of an inner city community center here in dsm. We help low income families with clothing, food, life skills etc.. moms ask me all the time for formula..if you have not already found a place let me know.

Thanks for the note. I did take the formula to House of Mercy, but perhaps some of our other families will see this and send their unopened packages your way!

Also, Young Women's Resource Center (helping young girls who choose to parent) is always looking for formula samples.

One of our partners is the director of the Iowa Food Pantry here in town. They are always looking for donations! We also work with Hawthorne Hill Women's Emergency Shelter quite a bit!
