Moms Club of West Des Moines

Central Iowa Cloth Diaper Crowd - Information, support and playgroup for cloth diapering families or those interested in cloth diapering. First Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m., Westchester Church.

Holistic Moms Network - Meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Central Library, 6:30 p.m. Children are welcome. Also has a playgroup on Fridays.

NINO (Nine In Nine Out) - Information, support, and playgroup for babywearing families (those who wear their babies or toddlers in slings or carriers). Come try on slings and get help using your sling. Last Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m., Westchester Church.

Mommy & Me - Yost Family Chirorpactic presents this free playgroup, held the first Tuesday of every month from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Mommy & Me is a comfortable get-together for mommies, babies and moms-to-be and is an opportunity to meet others, socialize and have fun! Each month there is a new speaker with a new activity to do with baby!

Beautiful Beginnings - This prenatal and postnatal class by Dr. Heather Yost offers a mindful exploration of pregnancy, exercise, nutrition, birth plans, labor, breastfeeding, newborn to toddler care and much more. It's held the first Monday of every month from 7 - 8 p.m.

Join Melissa Wardell, instructor with My Smart Hands - Des Moines (www.facebook.com/babysignlanguage), for a Level 1 Baby Sign Language class! The course is 45 minutes once a week for 8 weeks. You will learn over 100 signs, including the American Sign Language alphabet, and sing and sign lots of fun songs! We will have a Level 1 class on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 in Des Moines starting September 12, and another Level 1 class on Monday mornings at 10:00 in Ankeny starting September 13.
