What is your favorite thing about raising kids in Des Moines?
The friendliness and openness of the people here. It's a fairly large city, but it feels smaller because of the people.
What's the best kept secret in Des Moines?
Drama classes at The Des Moines Playhouse. I am a teacher there and I know it's not really a secret, but I'm sure there are still parents out there who don't know about it! There are classes available all summer long for ages 4-18! Check out the website for more info. www.dmplayhouse.com
