As I was doing more research for my project and how hectic some days have become in my life, I was wondering how many parents out there are using schedules?
We have a schedule/routine, but I don't physcially plan it out or have it written down on one of those white-erase boards. Am I crazy for not doing this? The more research I've come across however, the more I read how having a written down schedule really improves your life or at least takes some pressure off yourself, which I'm all about taking some pressure off. So naturally it has gotten me thinking, does it really work?
At the beginning of the week, I typically print off a list of what homework assignments are due, etc...but as far as adding my family activities I never thought about adding that. When I first became a SAH parent, I did write out a plan for us for the week, but it has been two years so it has naturally just become a part of us and I felt I didn't need it anymore, but perhaps I'm wrong and this is why I feel so stressed at times because there is so much to do, but if I can visualize what is actually planned for the day or scheduled, I would feel a bit better. Hmmm....interesting thoughts...so back to my question....How many of you out there actually use schedules and do you rely on them? Do you have any tips for those of us like myself who don't?
Till next time.
